Would YOU like to make a difference in YOUR community?

What is Kiwanis?
Kiwanis is home to the largest youth service program in the world.

Our club’s programs empower elementary school students, tweens and teens to make an impact through service and leadership.

As a group, we can accomplish more than individuals acting alone.

The motto and cornerstone of Kiwanis is “WE BUILD.” We believe in changing the world for the better – one child and one community at a time.

Our Club
We are residents of the Gainesville area who
1) are interested in improving the quality of life for our community, especially children;
2) enjoy shared values and friendship in our endeavors to make a positive difference in our community;
3) are willing to dedicate our time, effort, and energies to setting and achieving our goals.
We come from every walk of life, every background.
We meet weekly for lunch - or breakfast -  to conduct club business, to socialize, and to listen to interesting speakers from the community.

An Invitation to Join
You are invited to join us for a complementary lunch to learn more about our club and its members. Alternatively, if it fits your schedule better, meet us for breakfast!
Prospective members attend two meetings as guests of the Club. They may then complete a short membership application and return it to the Club Secretary. Upon approval of the Board of Directors, the prospective member pays a one-time application fee of $75 and is registered with Kiwanis International. He or she then attends an orientation session and is then inducted at the next club meeting.
Active members are encouraged to attend the weekly meetings on a regular basis and to become active in one or more committees/projects that attract their interest. Each member will be assigned a sponsor to serve as a guide while learning the business of the Club.

Cost of Membership

Membership dues are $51 per quarter plus meals. Dues cover the administrative expenses of the Club as well as both Kiwanis International and Florida District dues.
